Racoon

One night Dulcy was very excited about something in the garden. I let her out and heard her barking, but there was no light to see what she had found.

Dulcy refused to come in. Several hours later the sun came up to show that she had kept a poor racoon trapped on top of a banana tree all that time.

As soon as I took these photos I got Dulcy to go indoors so the racoon could safely make his escape.

The kiss of the sun for pardon, the song of a bird for mirth, one is nearer God's heart in a garden, than anyplace else on earth.
