The St. Johns River The Intracoastal and Beyond
Turkey Creek

This can be a long ride for a beginner, and you have to paddle against a strong current after a heavy rain, but absolutely beautiful. Expect to see lots of turtles, and if you're lucky, manatee.

You have options where to launch to paddle Turkey Creek. You can put in at Pollack Park on the north side of the creek, or Goode Park on the south side (also known as The Captains House). They both have one boat ramp, docks and safe parking for your car.

If you are renting a boat from the Palm Bay Marina you will launch from their ramps. All three of these launch sites are close together and give access to the Indian River to the east, and Turkey Creek to the west.
