Paddle
Boats
Paddle
boats,
such as canoes and kayaks, have their advantages in the
marsh. For one thing they are easily transported from
one body of water to another, usually tied on the top
of a car. This gives one the opportunity to explore diverse
areas. In our area we have
the St. Johns River, the Indian River (about 8 miles east
of the St. Johns), lots of marshland, and various creeks
- like the one that runs thru the Turkey Creek Sanctuary.
(That is a beautiful ride, take it if you get a chance!)
This
innovative gentleman attached a trolling motor to
his kayak enabling him to ride in comfort without having
to paddle. This kind of crosses
the line between paddle boat and motor boat, but we see
all sorts of creative things on the river! |
