An Osprey is a "fish hawk". An Osprey will pick a high
spot to watch over its hunting ground and, if mated, take turns with
their partner in catching fish. They will glide down over the surface
of the water and grab a fish in their talons.

This
Osprey and his mate hunt from a utility pole on an embankment
overlooking a large area of the Indian river. |
The soles
of the Ospreys feet are especially designed to hold slippery
fish, and their sharp beaks can easily tear into the meat.
